Police first received a report of the shooting around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, on Howard Place between Howard Avenue and Denver Avenue, said spokesman Av Harris.

When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy shot in the mouth (through and through), along with an 18-year-old woman who was shot in the back of her left shoulder, and a 23-year-old man shot in the right hand and left buttocks, Harris said.

Harris said the crime scene was located on Howard Place between Howard Avenue and Denver Avenue. Numerous shell casings were found, along with a car in the middle of the street.

It was unclear if the victims were shot by the same person.

Another car another was found parked on the north side of Howard Place with heavy damage on driver’s side and was running and unoccupied, Harris said.

The driver of the running vehicle later went to Bridgeport Hospital.  He was not shot but was complaining of pain to his left side and head. Harris said he told officers he heard gunshots and his car was immediately struck by an unknown vehicle.
